Well, the subforum mentions it so I feel it needs to be expanded upon. I find warhammer and beer go very well together. Personally, the last beer i had whilst enjoying a game was one called "Hollandia".... When you make a beer in Holland and can't think of a name.... well.. Name it after your country. In any case, it was good, as all full-bodied European beers are and increaded the game's enjoyability tenfold. I want to discuss this phenomonon. Likes, dislikes, favourites, least favourites, drinking stories. Haveatit!
The last thing NexS1 in the 'General Chat' subforum was about custom dice: Then he wants to talk about beer. Short attention span much? Anyhow, Genuine Lustria-Online Dice give lasting enjoyability without all of the medical and social drawbacks (cirrhosis of the liver, korsakoff's syndrome, traffic accidents, obesity, unwanted pregnancy*) * - Wife of Bob suggests that rolling double sixes may cause unwanted pregnancy (under certain conditions**). ** - I have been unable to replicate these conditions.
It occurs to me that I rarely come into the general chat section. I think I should stay awhile. I can see wife of Bob's point, but I would suggest that it would depend on the context of double 6s
Obviously not regular double sixes. L-O dice are required. And even if they are rolled in a GW store, I would suggest that it would need a VERY lucky roll on the Irresistable Force table. And Beer. Lots of it.
VB has improved in taste however, I would still suggest that it's the roll of 3 after double 1s where the slann general bsb gets sucked into the ezro on turn 1 Give me boutique beer any day!
I think the important question is how many beers before you need to roll on the monster reaction chart? Maybe it was double 1s followed by double 6s to bring about son of Bob?
Wife of Bob DOES have a monster reaction. She is having one right now... Back to the topic, Does beer make the activity better or does the activity make the beer better? By activity I mean WHFB.
HAHA! This, I think, is a difficult question to answer. Like the "catch 22" situation, or the chicken before the egg debate. I want to say they bounce off each other until enjoyment mathematically approaches infinty.
WHFB makes beer better. I don't like beer by itself much. Things I like: Beer and steak. Beer and darts. Beer and ski ball. Beer and WHF.
Living near Asheville, NC as I do I am blessed with beer. Several local craft breweries, all of whom have at least one beer i love, and a great FLGS (The Wyvern's Tale. Shameless promotion) I feel these two things together are becoming my natural state. Being in the South (I know, I know) I like a good IPA or Dunkel in the summer months, and Porters or Stouts in the winter. Or Moonshine anytime because, hey, I come from hillbilly stock.
I agree, I tend to like it the B.A.A.B. way. Beer and Another Beer Apropos pregnancy and beer.....Spawning of B.A.A.B. I think beer makes better at losing warhammer I really like a couple over a game, I just cant help but feel my lizards are looking nervous at me during the movement phase.
Wow, I can't believe I haven't responded yet! Rude! Centurion is right. Beer makes bad dice rolls easier to swallow. Pun intended!
