Hey :) First time I post here (just regiestered) and would like your opinions and suggestions on what I should add to my lizardmen army. I've been scouting around the other threads and looked on your army builds and noticed that a lot of you use quite a few Skink priests. An essential perhaps?

I recieved a Lizardmen Army-in-a-box thingy for Christmas which contained:

24 skink units (made 12 of them with javs & shields, 12 with blowpipes)
24 Saurus warriors (12 of them spears, the other half with swords n' stuff, full command on both)
    8 Saurus Cavalry (full command)

*Edit: All together it should be a bit over 850 points, I think.

Now I'm kinda wondering which type of general I should get + the additional units I should purchase to balance up my army and getting it close to 2000 points, since that's what I'm aiming for.

A good to know thing might be that my pals play as the Empire, Wood elves and Ogre Kingdom.

A few tips and ideas would be great :)

Really a Slann or Oldblood would suit you well against any of those armies. Personally I prefer the Slann, regardless, you want alot of Priests, they protect you from nasty magic.

Skink priests has a few essntial purposes. First of all, they'r cheap and provides dispel dices and make good scroll caddies at a low cost, second and at least as important they easily provides line of sight to a slann. And third, they'r mobile hence to their aquatic and Mov. 6 they can be a threat by them self to the enemy.

Summed up, they'r good and they doesn't cost to much.
