hi everyone,

I started a project to convert some Seraphons for use in Frostgrave as rangers or archers.

I'm looking at some bits to find bows which would work for the latest skink models.
I thought maybe Savage orc or goblin bows would work. Not sure how tall the new golbins are now. And I'd need to snip the fist out of the savage orc bow probably.

Any thoughts?

@pendrake. Good thinking. Will also look into that and compare as I already have the new skink box.

That's a horde in that auction!!! (I actually a some but they're in a somewhere in a basement very far away :p)

Aww they call the plastic skinks rare :P. I'm just finishing up my last 30 and honestly they're not the best sculpt. I have also pulled together some of the metal sculpts which look much nice to paint (also pricier and not all over ebay in large numbers like the plastic ones).

If you want to convert, I would probably try taking the goblin bows off their arms at the wrist if you want to make some more modern archers. But I don't have the bits in front of me at the moment to see quite how that works out.

Its probably going to be a fair bit of work but I hope what ever you do works out, and that you share some pics ;)
 
They're always poping up on the UK ebay I have a good lot myself now including some converted rather skilfully into spear throwers they went to the effort of drilling holes in the arrow pouches for spear room and spare spears etc :)
 
That's a pretty cool skink pose! I like it! Very dynamic and heroic, curious to see what he will look like painted.
 
I used the bow from the stegodon kit for my skink chief, I'm going to string it after I paint but you get the idea. It's a little big but I figured the troglodon priest body was beefy enough for it

A 6th Edition Plastic Orc Bowman had a similarly huge bow. The bows were as big as a Goblin crewed Bolt Thrower.
 
following the link in the topic 'The Dusty Drawers" from @King Dust i took a look around here.

These conversions look great. Are the jet finished?
I am curious about the end results.
