Got a 1500 point game against Brets this week. Any advice?

He actually has to submit his list to me before I make my list (it's a campaign thing). I just need general advice.

Salamanders! With -3 to AS, they will be very good at killing knights. Plan on getting first turn; he will pray. Make your units as solid as possible; Brets rely on breaking you on the charge, after that they are not very good.

I can give you more specific stuff when I see the Bret list, but honestly I wouldn't be too worried. LM should deal with Brets fairly easily.

My planned list for this battle (this will change once I see hie list):

Slaan with Cupped Hands, Becalming, and Focused Rumination. Undecided on Lore....Metal, Light, or Life
Skink Priest on Ancient Steg with EotGods
20 Saurus Warriors with full command (hand & shield)
20 Saurus Warriors with full command (same as above)
    10 Skink Skirmishers (blow guns)
    6 Chameleon Skinks
    Salamander Hunting Pack (1 sallie)
Salamander Hunting Pack (also, 1 sallie)
    1499 points

    Any thoughts or proposed changes?

Aren't Brets required to have champions on every unit or something like that? Should I consider challenges?

I would probably remove the priest and engine to replace with normal/ancient steg, few extra saurus to boost the units, and if you have the points a scar-vet for one of the units as combat support.
