8th Ed. Build me a Salamander

Hello

I would like to ask if anyone has a good idea what plastic model I could use in the GW lineup to fashion myself a salamander. Or ideas for which models contain pieces for a neat looking salli.

Let it be known that I am no whiz with green stuff.

The Khornish Flesh Hounds?

I've seen a couple conversions using those, they didn't look bad either.

I agree that they look good and would make a good match

But the reason why I am looking for something to replace the original sallie model is because I hate non-plastic models and the Khorne Hounds are metal too

It'd need a bit of green-stuffing, but chaos warhounds might work; apart from that, most models that would work well are metal.

 

If you could find some plastic Dimetrodon in the right scale, that would work,'
they would look like the 5th edition salamanders.

 

Only hassle there is tournaments; some of them might crack down on anything non-GW/people might whine endlessly and blame an 'unfair advantage' when they lose etc.
