Ok, I'm working on a full 2k army painted and ready to play by December, and I'm looking for some advice on a next purchase. I'll go ahead and list what I have and then what I'm thinking:

    CORE UNITS
    22 Skink Skirmishers w/Patrol Leader
    37 Skink Cohort w/full command
    37 Saurus Warriors w/full command

    SPECIAL UNITS
8 Cold One Riders w/spears and FC

    RARE UNITS
1 Razordon Hunting Pack w/4 handlers
    2 Jungle Swarms

    LORDS
    Saurus Scar Veteran (on foot/mounted)

    Skink Priest

    HEROES
    Saurus Oldblood (on foot/mounted)

Ok, there's what I have. In December I'll be playing against Dwarves and Bretonnia. Obviously I need to flush out my special/rare units, but what should be my next purchase? I'm considering a Bastilodon, Krox, or Terradons at the moment.
Also I'd like to pick up a Slann/Temple Guard, but is it worth taking a Slann in a 2K pt army? Seems pretty expensive for a battle that size. Or is he totally worth the points? I'm pretty new to WHFB, so I'm still figuring out Lizardmen strategy and tactics.

    Thanks!

I would buy a trio of Kroxigor to accompany your skink cohort, ranked skinks are overpriced if they're not being used as a Kroxigor delivery system and really just function as very, very inferior Saurus.

A Slann is the next obvious hole, although I don't think the fat frog is strictly necessary at this points level he is definitely worth considering. On the other hand you don't have any temple guard either so where to put him will be a problem, you take an awful risk bunkering him in with either Saurus or skinks.

Then I would look at some support units like chameleons or terradons as a way of removing warmachines which will threaten your dinosaurs, then salamanders and (ancient) stegadons are the remaining stand out units.

To begin building a 2k list you need 500 pts of core, and you have far more than that already. My standard core section at 2k is 30 Saurus w/ full command and 2x 10 skink Skirmishers.

One thing I would say is that if you don't want to bring a Slann at this level I would definitely get a second skink priest, or possibly even one of the SC priests, Tetto Eko would be my first choice.
