8th Ed. Can a Lord on a Carnosaur join a cold one cav unit?

    I am still confused by the rule on characters joining units.

    Or do people not even joined a Carnosaur Lord to any unit and just run him around?

    I believe that in 8th edition, the Carnosaur cannot join a unit of cold one cavalry.

    In 8th characters that are/are riding monsters can't join units.

    In 7th I ued to run a unit of skrox joined by two characters, one on a steggie, the other on a carnie.
