okay my painting theme for them was more water rock.
Basically a lot of water effects and the lizardmen themselves are grey with slight green accents to look more like moss or algae growing on them.

example with my scar vet/old blood:
Basically the main color is codex then I washed the backscales in thraka green then dry brushed adeptus so that thraka only appeared in the cracks.

problem is I dont know what to do with my terradons and my cold ones if I painted them grey to that might be to much.

Absolutely bring in a second colour. More green/grey on such large areas could make the whole army look dull.

I use a different colour for all the beasts of the jungle rather than the same colour as the lizardmen themselves, in my case it was green to set it apart from the Tallarn/Dheneb skin and scales (see blog). Since you have green already I would look at some kind of tan or brown.

On topic, idk. I would use another color. What color idk. Off topic, i just wanted to say, nice base. I love water effects. I'd love to see an army with almost all water bases. Sounds awesome.

thanks the downside is gutting each base takes forever.

since green is sortof an accent color that doesnt appear that much(still working on my basic saurus warriors)
I was thinking of having the raptors be like green like knarloc or even gretchin green

the back scales are the problem

maybe even work dheneb stone in there some how so it will match the back spines, (they are born together)
I cant find a picture but my cold one riders are the old school ones taht were a mixture of pewter and plastic.
the ones where the rider looks like he is laying across the cold one and the cold one itself was fracking huge and not as upright

Stones are not always grey, you know. There's granite, sandstone, marble, obsidian, etc. all have different colours. Just look at bathroom tiles. It comes in every colour imaginable, and then some. Even granite comes in many different colours: red, green, black, etc.

hmm maybe cardon granite and deneb stone?

here is what I currently have done, a bit sloppy so far probably.
