So the carno causes d3 wounds for each unsaved wounds. Lets say your Carno goes buck wild on some elves does two unsaved wound that causes 4 wounds (after the carno special ability). Each elf only has 1 wound. So does the carno get a combat resoulution of 2 for each wound that the elves carry, or 4 due to the carnos special and overkill rule? Its funny I haven't had this happen yet so I wanted the heads up before i looked dumb in a tourny. I've been running my carno into 2+ wound models since I've been playing him.

    Thanks for your help

Unless you're in a challenge, the overkill rule does not apply. So if your carnosaur inflicts 2 wounds onto a unit of, lets say elves, only the 2 wounds goes towards combat resolution. You only need to roll for the extra D3 wounds if your target has more than one wound.

    Hope that helps.
