So i just picked up my new lizards and noticed something when someone mentioned it on another forum!

There is no where in the rules that say a carnosaurs stomp attacks cant be multiplied via its ultimate predator special rule...

The brb specifically states that special rules are cummunilative unless they specifically say they arent...

Figured it would make our big T-rex a little more worth taking!!!

    What do you guys think!

If this has already been discussed to death soory, I did not see a post on it tho!!!

Going to be difficult to get a stomp on anything with cannonballs flying at your face. You are correct, however. Carnosaur stomp does benefit from the ultimate predator rule.

the rule text implies that its the "bite" thats so dangerous, but read as written there is no doubt that it works on stomp yes.

Yep I brought this up a while ago, the stomp does indeed get d3 wounds. However the point was brought up that stomp only works on infantry, swarms and.. Something else. So there is actually very little in the game that size with multiple wounds that it would be of any use against. You could mash swarms, but they are crap anyway.

Also, I'm pretty sure there is no 'technicality' in this rule, its in the LM FAQ. All wounds from the carnosaur become d3, that can only really be there to cover stomp even if it doesn't specifically mention it.

works great on heroes/ lords, and we will see them more ofthen now, and in bigger numbers, for eg my LM list consists of slann, oldblood, 4 scar vets, skink priest, so theres realy a good chance to get D3 stomp on them :)

Sorry for being off topic, but in how many points?
Can you send a PM and briefly describe that list, I am interested in what kind of builds you use on your characters and the composition of the army in general.

Carnosaurs are giant angry dinosaurs that bite. They don't fancy rules.

I can only say that I agreed with the folks in my group that multiplying stomp wounds would be wrong in every aspect, so I wouldn't. Not that I see much point in it though, it's own attacks alone should suffice.
Pity it doesn't give the oldblood the extra attack for frenzy though.

    Cheers!

It's not like you can't just direct the stomps towards characters anyway. D6 S6 stomps can usually one-shot any heroes anyway, assuming they haven't already been eated by the carnosaur.

Even more overkill is that they are S7 not S6 :rage:
