8th Ed. Charging With a Steg Query

Don't have the rule book with me and thought I'd seek some expert advice:

If I charge a Stegadon at a unit which contains a special character, can I target the special character (for Impact Hits) or are these against the unit as a whole?

Also, if this targeting of impact hits is not allowed, am I able to target the hand to hand on the special character or is that against the unit as well?

NB The steg will not have a character skink on it.

Impact hits are distributed the same as shooting attacks. So, no you cannot target the SC in the unit with impacts.

If you are in base to base contact with the SC your stegadon can direct its hand to hand attacks to it . Remember to allocate attacks before rolling to hit.
