Blog Chicken Lips Warhammer Armies

Hey, guys! So I've recently started a Lizardmen army and I thought I'd start posting some pics as I get them painted and see what the experts on this site think! Please feel free to comment. Actually, that'd be much appreciated!

A little about me, I've been playing Warhammer Fantasy for about 5 years now and the Lizardmen are my 6th army. So far I have:
Empire (~8000 pts worth) - This was my first army, so I feel a strong sense of nostalgia when it comes to them.
High Elves (~ 8000 pts worth)
Orcs & Goblins (~6000 pts worth)
Dwarfs (~6000 pts worth)
Wood Elves (~3500 pts worth)
and now...Lizardmen! (~3000-3500 pts worth)

Most of these are fully painted (except for my Lizardmen). My O&G need a little work, but that's because there are so many (60 Goblins takes a long time to paint!). They are about 2/3 done.

Looking good! I like that Skink Priest. I recently got that model but have not had a chance to paint it yet. I look forward to seeing more!

I got another model finished last night! He turned out much better than I originally expected. It is amazing what a little paint and imagination can do!

So I managed to get another test pilot done for my Temple Guard. I wanted him to be a little darker than my Warriors, showing his veteran status.

Thanks! Yeah, that's just glare on the shield. I'm not that good. I did wash and drybruch it, but for some reason my camera phone really doesn't pic up reds very well. They all tend to come out a bit...pink. Sorry about that, but it's what I've got.

 

In that case you might give it a try,
just give it a quick drybrush of your red,
and mix in a bit or white or yellow this time.
just do the upper part that has the glare in the picture.

 

Well, I finished my Bastiladon last night. I really like him! The textured base made for some great water-effects. I glazed that portion of it so as to give it that wet look, but that doesn't really translate very well in the pictures. I bought him off eBay and the seller didn't include the Skink at the very back. Oh, well. Maybe one of these days I'll find one somewhere.

By the way you might want to edit the title, I got thrown off by it being Chicken Lips Lizardmen because it looked like it was saying Lizardmen with Chicken Lips not Lizardmen painted by Chicken Lips
That was my only problem.
