8th Ed. Clarification on Scaly Skin + Shield

Hi Folks!

Hope the holidays were joyous and model-filled! I don't play very often (Maybe once evey 6 moths or so) and I have a simple question. With our Saurus Warriors, if they are armed with a hand weapon and shield is their Armour Save 4+? 5+ scaly skin, then +1 for the shield?

I may have asked this before, but like I said, I rarely play, so I'm not proficient in the basic rules!

That is correct. Their Scaly Skin gives them a 5+ save. Add a 1+ shield to that and it's a 4+ save.

They get the same armor save with Hand Weapons or Spears. If you run hand weapons you get a parry save as well (pretty much a ward save)
