    I thought it might be an interesting exercise to try ranking all of our combat units. Warning: your mileage may vary!

    I created a gauntlet of what I consider the 20 most competitive units in the game. I then awarded points on a 0-1 scale for how each of our units measure up, including fractional points for benefits such as tarpitting. The basic rubric I used was:

    Code:
    0.0 Points - Our unit should stay away (Ex:  Character Bus vs. Executioners)
    0.5 Points - We bring value, but will need help (Ex:  Ancient Stegadon vs. Demon Prince)
    1.0 Points - This is an ideal matchup for this unit (Ex:  10x Kroxigor vs. Steam Tank)
    
    In addition, I awarded up to 5 bonus points to each unit based on the following criteria: Maneuverability (0-1), Cannon Resistance (0-1), Magic (0-1), Utility abilities (0-1), Psychology (0-1). I thought the results of this exercise were interesting enough to share. The maximum possible number of points is 25.

    One way to look at army building is to say you are purchasing potential winning matchups by spending points. Using that point of view leads to the following calculation:

    I see nobody has bothered to comment on this yet. Personally I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to understand from your numbers.

    Maybe try and elaborate a bit more? :)

    Edit: I get the efficiency part, just not the point allocation, maybe I'm just misunderstandiMr something though :)

    I'm missing some Units from your list, but i guess that they've been covered on the FOrum before, mostly just skink cohorts, would be interested to see how far below Saurus they'd end up, if that would be the case.

    Interesting math nonetheless, will defo return to this when i sit down and consider what to bring!

    The only thing I took away was that troglodon are more efficient than 12 CoC. This actually inspired me to try it!

    The math is kind of interesting, but it just ranks common builds in terms of an all-comers list and points efficiency vs general utility.

    If I wanted to field 24 Saurus with a scar-vet, for example, that is not included.

    I appreciate it as a reference point though

    Well of course our elete units work well aginst other armies elete units. :pompus:

    and yea cold one rank low, because runing them against units with a ton of high stenght attacks
    is, well a terrible idea as it negates most or all of thier armor.
