So the trend at my LGS, even when playing friendly games, has been slowly shifting towards the mentality of "bring the nastiest list you can regardless if its fun to play against" so I have decided to fight this movement. I want to start making 2250 lists that follow the Adepticon comp system and hope my fellow local gamers will follow. I was wondering what people thought were good unit choices under this comp system. I was thinking of something roughly like: a lone slann, a cold one mounted scar vet BSB, a flying skink chief, a priest on EotG, 2 saurus warrior units, 2 skink skirmish units, a terradon unit, a kroxigor unit, and 2 salamanders This comes out to something like an 11 or so on the comp score which I think is quite middle tiered. Any suggestions on how to make a fun to play against comped lizardmen list that still packs a punch?
One way is to drop the Slann and EoTG and make a Rush N' Rend army thats quick enough to get to the enemy before you get shot up/magicked to death. This would be a Carno lead army that heavy on 6+ movement units. Either way, if your opponents have no comp rules and take crap like kitted out Bloodthirsters, Tzeentch power dice festivals, 2 Hydra+Black Dragon DE lists, etc, will it be fun for you to play them if you don't take your own tooled up list?
