    Lord

    Slann

Disciplines: Reservoir of Eldritch Energy, Focus of Mystery, Higher State of Consciousness
    Magic Items: Earthing Rod

    Lore: High Magic (loremaster)

I'm looking for a wizard that is very hard to get rid of, and who can cast a long range of deadly spells whilst dispelling most things thrown at me. Also I'm afraid of miscasts, so I think the earthing rod can prove useful? I don't know much about what magic items I should give him other than that or whether I should make him BSB.

    Heroes (outside of units)

    3x Saurus Scar-Veterans on Cold-Ones

I'd like these guys to be my dynamic trump. Going for high manouverability. Don't know how I should kit them out.

1x Skink Priest w/ dispel scroll

    Lore: Beasts

Just a guy with a dispel scroll. Can perhaps use Vassal-rule to improve the dynamics of my Slann.

    Heros (in units)

    2x Saurus Scar-Veterans

    Units

2x29 Saurus Warriors with full command

    4x10 Skink Skirmishers

    Special

    23 Chameleon Skinks

I have an idea that these perhaps can be used to combat warmachines?

    6 Terradons

Yeah, also meant to attack stuff that is dangerous and hard to reach. Makes sense?

    Total Army Cost: 2297

I have a buffer of 203 points to kit out my heroes and perhaps Slann. How should I go about that?

    Hope to hear from you
    all the best

Just did a quick math and I think you miscalculated a bit:

3 naked Cowboys + 2 naked Vets + Priest with scroll is 555pts.
That leaves you with a 70pts allowance for your Heros which is really poor.
Imo it's not a good choice to fit that many characters in a 2500pts list.

Your Core is fine but your spending nearly 1000pts on it... usually you want to spend as few points as possible (625) on Core to have more pts for the good stuff.

Chamo Skinks are good units but 23 seems a bit too much. They are expensive and personally I think 2 units of 7 is more than enough.

You have no hammer unit, sth that can really bring the pain. Saurus are good for grinding but you need sth that actually hurts those big combat blocks. Cowboys can do that to a certain amount but they are better in killing monsters and smaller units.
Hammers are: Ancient Stegadons, TG, Kroxigors, Carnosaur.

Salamanders are also a good choice to deal with most blocks.

    6 Terradons are totally fine.
Your Slann can be tweaked but he's also fine the way he is.

Sorry, that might have been a lot of critique but I hope it helps oO

Yeah drop a scar vet on foot. I'd take your core to 40 SW, 12 SS x2
And add in a unit of TG and an ancient steg with sharpened horns.

Theres lots of good threads for equiping your scarvets.

On foot I like enchanted shield and sword of striking. Mounted dragonhelm luckstone, greatweapon
