Conversion Question: DE Corsair Cloaks on Lizardmen

Hi all,

I'm a big fan of how these cloaks look and I just thought I would put this question out to the masses to save some time.

Has anyone ever had an extra cloak to see how they would hang off of some of the Lizardmen units? I would imagine the tails may get in the way slightly but i know the older Saurus models were a lot smoother on their back.

If anyone has feed-back on this subject I'd be greatly appreciative as it would save me a few bucks on buying some to test.

I'd imagine that the backs spines would also pose an interesting problem.
And the old 5th edition saurus don't have much of a neck.
Might work ok on a Skink character though.

Yeah I was thinking either older Saurus models or a Skink unit who wants to look a little more aggressive .
That's why I am fishing around for sizing issues to see if anyone knows if the cloak would fit them.

I imagine it might be too big for a Skink, they reach the floor on an elf...

Either way you are probably going to have to modify the cloak a bit.

Yeah, I was looking for a site to pick up the cloaks on their own now.

I forsee a comical conversion of a few skinks "dressed up" as a saurus warrior as a unit filler.

I don't know, lizards wearing lizard skin just seems a little off.

Lizards wearing cold one skin. We wear leather jackets made of cow or sheep skin

I like the idea could look really good. The skins dressed as sauri would be funny I'd really like to see that

Wasn't there a magic item in our last book that was armour made out of cold one skin? Makes sense to me! Not sure how you'd manage to get a Corsair cloak on a Saurus though, they're different shapes and sizes. That said, I have zero greenstuff ability so you might be more successful than me!

I'm experimenting with them so far, I have a few Corsair cloaks as well as scale cloaks from a different game. I'll post an update once I get the poses, looks right, and painting completed .
