Title says it all. and if you still have doubts... Keep posting! (of course, this is not merely 40k related)
It was indeed. Both me and @Mrs. NIGHTBRINGER painted a model for our wedding cake! The models travelled with us to Cuba for our wedding.
THAT IS AWESOME. Hands down best post on the forum. I think it's great you guys have the hobby in common in your marriage. Still trying to lure mine in...
Thank you! To be fair, I think she only does it to humor me. Although I did coax her into painting and entering a model into the Golden Serpent contest a few years back. I think since then she's only painted one or two additional models (which is even behind my pace ... barely) You had that battle report a while back... nothing since?
Which is fair enough. Nothing wrong with that! That is pretty much where I am at with my wife. I told her that if we're going to be lifelong partners and best friends, we need to play 8th Edition Warhammer together. I said it's a dealbreaker At the time we started with rulebooks and fluff stories to get some interest going and then a couple of "learning the ropes" battles. It's just been a little crazy since. We'll definitely pick it back up.
Nice idea for a thread, though it needs more RAT... My Plagueclaw Catapult conversion from 2017, which I used in a Warhammer Fantasy game for the first time last month (only killed a couple of Dwarfs before being charged by Josef Bugman and his Brewers, I blame 'new model syndrome ). Mainly built out of bits of sprue, with some spares from the Warp Lightning Cannon and Screaming Bell kits and some thread. I can say it's officially taller than GW's own Screaming Bell model:
For some reason I can only see the photos when I reply to the message... Now that I can see it though, looks brilliant.
That must be because I copied the picture links directly from my painting blog. I'll have to tweak it and see if I can fix that.
