Hey guys, I am new to this site because I saw some of the awesome Lizardmen work you guys did here. Personally, I am a Warriors of Chaos fan and combined Warriors of Chaos with Lizardmen to make an army of Khorne. Though I don't have any pictures yet (With thanks to my crap Webcam), I think most Lizardmen work together very well with the Khorne side of the Warriors. Though I know you guys probably don't like me for not being a Lizardmen purist, I hope you guys will still be able to give me pointers and help me out throughout the creation of my Warband. Below you will find the story behind the Warband, as well as constructs I am working on.

    Story:
The idea was that my Lord, Udyr (Norse for Beast) Kveld, was a boy who grew up with Marauders on the Chaos wastes. As he grew up, he tamed larger and more fierce beasts while slowly building a warband of his own. When he killed a Bray-Shaman in a territorial battle against Beastmen, he took his Flail of Submission, one of the two weapons I made up for him, receiving the blessing of Khorne. During his nightly visions, he saw the land of Lustria and it's mighty saurian beasts that wandered the land. Unable to resist the urge to tame such humongous beasts for his own army, the lord of blood saw it as a chance to invade the land of Lustria yet again. During his quest to tame Lustria's gargantuan beasts, Udyr's warband occasionally clashed with regiments of Saurian, finding the opposition to be quite tenacious. Fighting the Saurians for over a month, Udyr won the battle when a group of Saurian, led by an Oldblood known as Garaux of Itza, now branded as Garaux the Blooded or Garaux the Betrayer took over the leadership within the native regiments. Having come to realize that if order was restored to the world, there would be nothing left to fight and conquer, the Oldblood and his faithful followers broke away from the Old Ones, pledging their allegiance to Khorne, joining Udyr's warband, changing the tide of the fighting. Now serving as Udyr's second in command, the growing army combined the blessings of Khorne with the raw might of the Lizardmen traitors, creating one of the more powerful warbands of their time.

    Conversions I am working on:
Note that all of them will be registered as Chaos mutations for the sake of playing the game. If you all have any ideas that sound cool and might be able to work well with my army choice, don't hold your tongue and write it on up.

-Chaos Knights on Cold Ones (Chaos Knights + Dark Elf Cold One Knights)
-Stegadon Warshrine (Combination of Chaos Shrine + Stegadon)
-Garaux the Blooded/Garaux the Betrayer (Chaos Champion + Saurus Oldblood + Additional bits)
-Bastiladon Hellcanon (Lizardmen Bastiladon + Chaos Hellcanon)
-Saurus / Warrior Chosen (Saurus Temple-Guard + Chaos Chosen Command)
-Salamander Marauders (Salamanders + Skinks + Marauder bits)
-Khorne Razordon (Lizardmen Razordon + Chaos bits)
-Tyranoq, Garaux's Carnosaur (Carnosaur + Chaos bits)
-Khorne Skinks (Skinks + Marauders bits)

This is currently the entire list, but if you have more ideas, please, let me hear it.

    Bah NON BELIEVER!!!!!

    Ok ok NON PURIST!!!!!

Right now thats out. Of my system......

I always admire a vision, because thats the thing, visions are Cool!

I think what we need to consider is that your army, is, a chaos warband, so it must obey the rules for the warband, but still look lizardmanny, am I correct? Or are you going for an army list mash up? I have ideas for either, but "counts as" models work best for straight playing opponents.

Eg, having an old blood on a carnasaur in. A WoC army will just cause massive arguments, but if you jazz it up, and make it as either your big red angry demonic rare choice i can't recall the name of, or mutate it to have wings and its a chaos lord ona carnosaurid dragon, now that conforms to the list!

Coz simply put you can do a bit of work on kroxigors and make them your trolls etc and you could have howdahless stegadons as various chariots, chaos knights riding on possesed and armoured kroxigors as blood crusher cavalry, Norsemen on horned ones (south lands weaker version of cold one, see war horse stats with a 6+ scaly skin save) for light cavalry!

The only thing that really bothers me about your list is the inclusion of skinks, they are too weak and flimsy, chaos has no use for weak! Try savage Norsemen, think savage orks, jus' not green bu' weak 'n white' and fleshy, cer'ainl' no orky wotseva', gorrit?

Any way, have a think on exact direction and we can go from there!

I had not even really thought about the Kroxigors becoming Trolls, though I think i'll be doing that as well. It sounds like a cool plan and a nice way to involve more Lustrian goodness in my army. Basically, I plan to give every lizardmen that joins my army a whole lot of bits to make them into Khorne followers, though I may use the feathers and have those be blood-red for the fabulous-factor.

For my Oldblood on Carnosaur, I was pretty much already going to turn him into some kind of Chaos lord / Custom hero, though your insights are most welcome. I already have a large amount of customized armor bits that I cut out of actual Chaos lords I wouldn't use because I hate being non-custom, i'm a Hipster like that, normal is too mainstream.

For the Stegadon, i'm basically making that my Warshrine, minus the two ugly-ass ogredemons carrying it and using a badass dino to move it around as a testament to the power of the army and the will of Khorne. I figured I would be able to do something like this without really stepping out of line.

When I thought about Skinks I was thinking turning them into what would basically be a wave of savage scaled zealots that basically kill their enemies by overcoming them with numbers and sacrificing their skulls and blood to Khorne. I mainly got that idea when I saw Tehenhauin and how he basically takes people alive and sacrifices them to Sotek. I imagined my skinks replacing my marauders and pretty much sacrificing/Slaughtering for the favor of Khorne during their battles. Also, I absolutely hate Marauders and figured this would make for an awesome replacement that would fit with the storyline/background/theme I had thought up for this army.

I am not entirely sure as to what a Horned one is.

Also, for a color theme, I am sticking with red, brass, bone and gold. For my mutations, I don't want to give them multiple hands or stuff like that, maybe chitinous plating, skeletal growth, longer talons, horns, barbs, anything that will allow me to maintain a Lizardmen like feel while still being Chaos-ish.

Now, there are some things I still need to work on in terms of ideas, basically other Lizardmen conversions for the following Warriors of Chaos army i'm building.

    -Chaos Ogres
    -Chaos Ogre Mutants
    -Dragon Ogres
    -Dragon Ogre Shaggoth
    -Forsaken
    -Warhounds
    -Daemon Prince
    -Chaos Spawns
    -Chaos Giants
-Slaughterbrute (Though I already have a pretty badass idea for a monster as massive and grotesque as this one.)
