I'm just wondering if anyone has ever taken an army based around A LOT of COR before? I'm only starting to build my army but as soon as I have enough models for a 1-1.5k army I will start battling so I want to buy some good models early. I have a saurus box, skink priest and will be getting a battalion box soon. Then I'm thinking about buying a few COR boxes. I'm mainly wondering if this is advisable and some tactics for using them? I would also have either oldbloods or scar vets on CO as a general and hard-hitting units, so should I run them with the normal units or as cowboys? All comments and criticisms welcome!
We have a recent discussion on this particular part of the forum. Should be easy to find. With that said COR are a hit and miss. As transportation for your characters they're fine, on their own not so much. Buying spear is too expensive on a model that is already expensive. If you want to go heavy on CORs you will also want to put several characters in it. Just one unit, not several smaller ones. It's quite effective at killing, but you're making yourself a death star. If you're playing friends they might not enjoy it ^^
Thanks Pinktaco I'll have a look for it. I've been reading a lot of good things about Scar-Vets so when I try it I'll throw a couple of them in a big unit. Cheers
What I did in my previous tourney is have 2 units of 5 with FC so that I can split up my characters. One takes care of monsters/multi-wound units and the other low armour save units. Worked really well.
