Over the last few months I have been creating my own army list (ninja's). I have gotten to the stage of wanting to play test them and I was wondering if anyone could help me with a ruling. One of the weapons allows the model to gain an additional attack if they roll a 6 to hit. Now when rolling to hit with this additional attack will it still be able to have the re-roll if they have always strike first and a higher I then the opponent or are those just for the initial attacks?
I fail to see a reason why not. But if it is going to be so, in the name of balance, do not let those extra attacks generate more extra attacks. Unless it is a magic item that allows that, then go ahead but its going to be a 50 points type of item.
Nah it's just that extra attack, I tried it with every other attack and ended up doing 3-4 attacks extra in the end in play testing.
That`s a tough one, best thing is to test how balanced it is both ways. I can see it being a bit much if they strike first, reroll misses and get an extra attack. Now what slot is this unit in? Core, special or rare cause crazier rules are easier to justify in the later 2.
There rare, and it's a upgrade for them, with that weapon they end up costing 20 points per model, and there very squishy(T3 and light armour). And it isn't always an extra attack, just the possibility
If it is an additional attack, I see no reason why it should not also benefit from the reroll to hit. By the way, sounds like an interesting army, and I would love to see the actual army list.
Sound's alot look a highelf army personaly if your units are based on low toughness and striking first.
well I based it around ninja's and therefore didn't feel they should be very tough as they were more about getting in killing the target and getting out, and as there so agile some of the more advanced units get the strike first rule, not all of them get it though.
