I don't really understand the wording too clearly this is my understanding: On a 1 you suffer the miscast On a 2-6 it transfers to an enemy wizard If you roll for the 5-6 on the miscast table after its transfered to an enemy wizard nothing happens again?
Almost... On a double 6 your spell goes off with irrestible force then you suffer the miscast, you roll on the miscast table, if you use the Cupped Hands... On a 2-6 it transfers to an enemy wizard. The rules for magic changed a lot in 8th edition.
Dont RAW mean that you first roll cupped hands, then see what happens? "ignore 5-6" part was FAQ'd out
D'oh, I've Missed that one! But you can only choose not to use Cupped hands if you have Throne of Vines on, the wording is pretty clear
If you have throne of vines up, you must take that save before you can use Cupped Hands as well. You cannot arbitrarily decide that you will use the Cupped Hands instead of the throne of vines. You must fail the Throne of vines 2+ in order to invoke the cupped hands.
Yes you can. "The player whos turn it is chooses". Both thing would happen in same time (When miscast), so you can choose the order
I did not realize that. I found it in the FAQ. I thought it was the other way around. I thought you had to use the Throne of vines first.
That is good to know! So if you chose to use the Cupped hands (before using the throne of vines effect) and you rolled a 1, could you still use the throne of vines effect to ignore the miscast on a 2+?
