Hi, i have a few of the models from the previous edition (5th or 6th?), they are the skinks with shortbows, i think you got a more amphibian feel with these models. I have seen that a lot of people own older edition models like them. so, which do you prefer, 7th edition or editions before them?
The newer ones fot ht e most part (except terranons and i like the 6th dition templeguard). ps. surverys are broken for the time being.
I think the new skinks looks better and I think the new saurus warriors look much much better. Which sucks because I own 50 of each of the old ones.
I like most of the new models. I also like the 6th edition kroxigors (I own 14). I do not like the old skinks (with bows), old saurus, or the old slann.
New for almost everything, especially the plastics. The only thing I miss is the old Slann palanquin carried by Temple Guard.
I mostly like the newer lizards but the old salamander with the frill was quite cool and i am wondering whether to get one of ebay.
Really, I may be one of the only ones that like the newer salamander. The razordon is hands down a better looking model. I plan on painting my razordons like the quills are flaming (getting brighter toward the tip) so I can use them as either razordons or sallies.
BOTH! I like the new models, but old models are just as good. Paint up your old ones (they are free) and add in new ones where ever you need. I think having a touch of past generations in your army makes for a great over-all look. Some players you play may never have seen some of the old models and with paint on them, they work just as well as new ones.
That is a good point. Unfortunately, the only models that I still need are the mounted scar-vet, the scar-vet BSB, and chakax. I have everything else that I need.
I agree. I have one of the old slann(with TG) at home with no plans to use it. I guess that could change, but the model just does not look as cool as the new slann.
The slann looks like he is taking a luxury holiday rather than commanding an army, although having said that i do like the model
