Hey guys,
After a long time I decided to do something about my lack of an astrolith bearer. So I decided to make one of my own instead of buying the original(that I don't like). I used parts mostly from the start collecting box and some scraps of a guard banner(easily replaced by the warrior one). In the center my astrolith is a marble. Maybe in the future I apply an ink to change the color or just leave it this way. The part holding it is a collar of a troglodon. The marble glued perfectly in the center but to secure a drop of the model I made some safety holders. The rest are easy to find at banners of riders. I also used the legs of the oldblood provided at the box. There I need a bit of green stuff sculptin(I wasted the last piece I had). So I hope u like it. IMG_3151.JPG IMG_3152.JPG

I actually really like him! The banner is huge, but it actually does a decent job looking like the actual model it is supposed to represent... and then some!

Fantastic use of plastic bits, if I have time I may use your great work as inspiration to make one of my own :vulcan:

Edit: and that center bit of the banner is a marble you say??

Quite clever!

Hey that looks really cool man. Curious about the weighting of the mini with the marble -- do you ever have trouble with him falling over?

Ahha awesome work im going to be doing this too but because of my need for lights ill be adding a LED(somehow) but nice to see it this custom work from you ^_^

I has some issues but in general is steady enough. I'll need a 40mm base though to be legal. I had only 32 the moment of creation. If u place it correctly at the base is OK.

I like it very much. I don't have one of these either.

I needed to see both designs head-to-head.

A couple of metric 40mm diameter steel washers stuck under the 32mm base would solve the legality problem and pull the center of gravity lower to solve any tipping problems.
