7th Ed. Dark elf army(cheap$$$)

    Okay in my helping design an army for my gf I sadly decided I might need a new army myself, but I really don't want to spend a lot I probably wont got past 1k, This one here is 750 points and afterwards I have 42 points left not a clue what to do with them. I plan on converting wood elf ghlade riders by giving them sea dragon cloaks and hand bows. I was tempted to drop the sorceress and take maybe an assassin or some such. It would fit my theme a bit more as well, kind of want to make these guys like woodland bandits if that make sense(if not lore wise then law of cool wise)

    um.... sorry i cant help you. Maybe a assassin or a magic item. maybe you should go to a different website for dark elves cause this is a place for lizardmen help not dark elves. ;) but im sure someone used to play dark elves and now play lizardmen in this website

    for 750 i would take

    5 dark riders
    crosbows

    15crosbowmen

    2 level 2 sorcers

    and a hydra i have no clue how many ponits that it i aint got me dark elf codex with me

    u let the hydra draw the attetion why you sit back and shoot
    dont chage the hydra to big ranked up unist only charge weak unit and flame the rest

    That would be great advice if you wanted a punch in the stomach and a stolen army case.

    Seriously though, that list is a point and click list.

    My advice, drop the magic standard on the corsairs. They are ten strong, will break easily and thus give a free standard for the opponent. I would add that assassin and drop the sorceress at this point value. If you have some extra points, maybe drop the magical standard on the warriors and try to get in another ranked (melee or shooting) unit. That will allow you more flexibility and more shooting capabilities. Though if you have a sorceress, I would lean more towards a combat unit.

    It was humour. But at that point level the suggested list was much too overpowered.

    There is a difference between winning and having a mutually fun game. It is fun to win using a tactical army and use tactics to carry the game. It is not fun to destroy the enemy using shooting and monsters that are broken at this point level.
