Yo I have a huge problem when playing against my friend. He plays imperial and these days he always wields 6 Demigryph knights. I really can't finde a solution for these. they come at an armor save of +2, which renders skinks and salemanders useless (since they dont have the -3 armor save anymore). I've also tried to run 2 steagons and 20 sw into them at the same time, but I got all of them handed back to me in boxes of shredded meat. Can it really be right that their mounts can give 3 supporting attacks each? Hope someone has the answer, cause I've tried focusing them down 3 games in a row with no result. Never killed a unit of them. I'd have my stegadons shoot the bolt thrower at them, but since stegadons are kinda expensive just for the bolt thrower, I find this solution not to be viable.

    hmmm...
maybe a unit of 6 or more kroxigors, perhaps boosted with wildforn,
that should be enough to get through that armor...

The mounts don't get any supporting attacks.

Page 83, All the cavalry rules apply to monstrous cavalry with 1 exception, use the highest wounds characteristic of the rider or the mount.
The FAQ added Toughness to that as well.
The FAQ also added the that RIDER can make a maximum of 3 supporting attacks.
The Cavalry rules say that only the rider can strike with supporting attacks.
Monstrous Beasts can make up to 3 supporting attacks; but Demigryph Knights are not monstrous beasts.

Steggadons are a good answer. Once you pin them in place, you can flank with static combat res or a beat stick to win combat.

Lore of metal is always a good answer.

Problem is I'd need 1000 skinks to support that, otherwise my kroxs will also die due to the fact they strike last. With 50 pts/kroxi and only 58pts/dgk I need to put a lot of pts into a unit like that. And then in a situation where he wouldnt buy as many dgks, 6 kroxis might seem like a bit of an overkill in a 2k game.

Stegadons (preferably ancients) with sharpened horns

Scarvet cowboys with GWs or halberd w/ potion of strength or 1+ rerollable/ stegadon helm to just tank them till you can flank them

Oldblood cowboys with pirahna blade or any +Str sword

    Searing Doom

I'd even chuck a solar engine blast at them on the 50/50 of getting 2d6 Str 5 or better
