7th Ed. demons of chaos

    k so i have a campaign coming up and have the growing threat of all chaos armies teaming up. anyway i have been browsing the tactics and found helpful info about all the armies that i will be playing against except for demons of chaos so what can we do to defeat them? we will start at 1000pnt's and go up by a thousand pnts every month so i have at least 1 month to weaken them but once the greater demons come out im not quite sure what to do

    SKINKS!
    4 units of 12 skinks blowpiping greater deamons hurts like you wouldnt believe,,,
    that 96 poisioned shots,
    16 wounds per turn:)
    and at just over 300 points,,,, its a great deal

    ya my only problem with that is i dont have that many skinks... yet ;)

    so other than skinks what can i do? my draw back with skinks is pink horrors being spawned cuz of the tzeentch's firestorm. skink low toughness + strength 5 = average 7 dead skinks and 2 pink horrors

    so what do we do to deal with magic?

    dispel? diadem of power, slann with becalming cogitation, EotG with lvl 2 priest, cupped hands, etc

    ya i guess thats kinda a stupid question but demons get 20 something power dice and can cast any spell from the 8 lores. on another note how are the cc troops dealt with?

    well if they go for all horros then once you get in CC they are dead, they might have flaming atacks but nothing impressive otherwise. also you don't need to dispell every spell they cast, only those targeted at things you care about.
    some skirmishers or chameleon shooting poison into the unit will make him understand that he doesn't want them there and focus on killing them instead of saurus. also go for the cube of darkness, with a little luck you can shut down 1/6 magic phases he relys on.
    also the plaque of dominion is mandatory as he will need to test for every unit he has on Ld 8. if hte fails he comes closer to you and doesn't cast, what can be better than that ? :D

    how many points are you planning on going to?
    starting at 1k and doing a k a month is a lot, very quickly,
    hmmm realy it depends what the deamon player chooses,
    if he is feeling cheesy, he'l do a magic/cc army,
    lots of horrors and a couple of units of hounds,
    then either a soucerer lord or a blood thirster,
    either way, id take a slan and a couple of priests, then lots of skinks and 2 big blocks of saurus,
    take becalming cogitation if he takes a wizard lord and always take the banner of wizzardly stupidity:)

    if he goes nurgly. well, first kudos coz an entire metal army is evil,
    nurgle is nasty, very very hard to kill,
    only helpfull thing i can say is that salamanders help:p

    ive played against zentch lists loads and ive never had a sucsessfull firestorm cast:p
    becalming cogitation is nasty:)

    ok i was wrong it will be 1000 for the first 2-3 months 2000 for 2 months and 3000 for 1. the demond player will be tacking the lord of chance to start and then bring in the great unclean one aswell at 3000

    lord of change?
    well,,,, get an engine of the gods a cloak of feathers priest and 24 skinks and loads of saurus (36) to start,
    then at 2 k get a slan, some TG and add a troop killing scar vet on cold one into your spear blocks:)
