Hey, I've been putzing here for a little while but I never introduced myself. I'm a player from Sacramento, CA, only army is Lizzies. I also play orks in 40k. My friends tell me I seem to keep picking the joke races.

Playing about a year and some change, mostly against WE And Dwarves, a couple against WoC. Occasionally the Orc player is up for a game but he can't seem to beat me so I try to find handicaps to even it out. Shhhh! Don't tell him.

In a campaign right now locally, it's going we'll for me. Slann really do piss people off when the games matter! I got most of my army online so they are prebuilt and painted. I have limited painting experience and I am intimidated by the thought of trying to do it and screwing up, so I'll lurk in the painting forum til I glean enough to try it on the few troops I built myself.

Spend a lot of time online reading tactica, trying to improve my game mentally and be a better player. I don't know if the success I've enjoyed is due to Lizardmen being a good army or if it has paid off listening watching and experimenting. I've tried every lore but Death, only because we went campaign before I built a list to try it. I usually roll randomly to see what Lore I use each game, to make it more fair. I usually reroll Life and Light. Those two just seem to give me too strong an advantage.

I play to have fun, win or lose. But I want to play well, so it seems like I am more competitive than I am. If I lose because I'm an idiot I just feel like I wasted our time and want to go back to the drawing board. If I lose because of luck or being out played, then I smile and accept defeat; it's a damn game. Winning and losing should be mostly inconsequential to the fun. If you can only have fun if you win, well, good luck.

I think I've rambled again. I have a tendency to do that. Apologies. When typing at a screen I seldom realize how much others will have to read after I am done. Creative Writing degree. I like to verbally splurge when my mind is in the correct gear.

Thanks to you all for being cool and informative and chill. Like you had ice in your veins. ;) Yeaaaaaah.

It's always nice to meet another Lizardmen player and yeahh the Slann does seem to make people mad! :meh: Well don't be afraid to paint. Just like the game it takes practice to get it down :D So just remember to have fun!

don't let the awesome paint jobs on the painting section intimidate you. Painting wise you are only competing against your last model not the Picassos.
