7th Ed. dispel

    a day ago i guy told me thaT you can only use dispel dice on 1 spell and another spell if you have any dispel dice left is that true and can u eaplain mre about it

    Yeah thats true, you only have a certain amount to use per magic phase.

    Basically if you have, lets say 5? and you use, lets say 2? to dispel a spell, and you dispel it. You have used them up, and those 2 need to be discarded. You only have 3 left to use on another spell(s). So the enemy casts another spell, you use another two dice, and dispel it. Now you only have 1 left to use (this magic phase, they refresh every magic phase).

    I don't know the page but you can probably look all this up in a rulebook, which you should own/be able to borrow...

    The only thing I'd like to add to slannofitza's answer is that even if you fail to dispel, the dice are used for that phase, so whether the dispel roll is passed of failed, the dice are spent for that turn.

    Oh yes, thankyou. Re-reading my post does make it sound like you could save them if it didn't dispel. (but you can't)
