Hello! I have a Slann. He is not the Lord Kroak, but I wonder if I played at a tournament if I could use it as Lord Kroak. It is literally the same model but he is not wrapped up. I know some tournaments/clubs are more strick than others but what do you all think?
None of the people I once played with would be that fussed. (But most of them gave Kings of War a whirl when AS1 came out, and then they moved on to Bolt Action and Flames Of War...or just chucked fantasy and stuck with or reverted to 40K.)
Anyone who does is a bit foolish. As long as the model is more or less the same type then go for it. If someone turns up with a pink horror and says “ok, this is my kairos fateweaver”, then I’d have to maybe give them a sideways look, but doubtful that would happen. I’ve never heard of anyone actually objecting and refusing to play.
You can try to get the Mask part of it, check eBay, Paint it and if your opponent says "thats not kroak" put the mask on it
You could buy a kroak body on r/miniswap or ebay and magnitize it to the throne so you could swap Starmaster and Kroak. But yes I dont think anyone will complain.
No one but the tournament organizers would know for sure, but most AoS tournaments have a pretty strict "WYSIWYG" policy. Since a Slann is an existing model, there is the possibility for confusion. I would say no, you can not use a Slann as a Kroak in a tournament, but your mileage will obviously vary. Friendlies are obviously a different story.
Indeed, what Putzfrau says. At tournaments you will comments and clomplaints but with friends this shouldn`t be an problem
In a pinch: - paint him brown and kitbash a mask - snap off some of the horns on the throne. ...problem with that is that you will ruin your Slann...
