Does anyone play 40k as well? I know lizard men are not in space yet. Well they are in AoS, but not in 40k. But I really like to play both games. Here is my armies... Almost finished the Death Guard. But Space Marines are harder to paint because have to be neat.
Nice work! I have Tyranids in 40k. but I have a lot more painted for AOS than I do in 40K. my insta is in my signature. also there is a section of the forums where you can start your own painting blog if you'd like to share your masterpieces with the rest of us!
The mission objective. This is suppose to be a dead servitor that has special information. It has been corrupted by nurgle.
Very nice! I look at your stuff, I like the orange shading. You have a very modern design kind of style. Hard to explain. Everybody has different style. I have only been painting for 1 year. But I paint when I was kid but that was 2 decades ago. I do design as a job tho, so I would say that I have maybe a bit of advantage of understanding a bit about colours. I don't claim to be great artist or anything. I am just old fool having time of his life painting these things. My goal is a fully painted battle report!
I have to say, for me its about punchy colours. I have seen the award winning painters, and I respect they are very talented. But a lot of the time when I see models where someone has put 200 hours in... That's not for me. I just want to make nice looking game pieces, with a few details. Also I like them a bit messy and not perfect. I really love the Evey metal teams style, because they just make them look good, and not perfect. Also they have amazing colours. Where as a lot of competition painters have stupid stuff like insane contrast that to me looks crappy. Obviously some of the competition painters are beautiful works of art. But I feel like, sometimes people put 200 hours into a model and get the basics wrong. Like the foundation colours don't really work that well.
Yes, I lead a formidalbe force (about 3.5k points) of Knights of Titan. Because Daemons will know no mercy, be it Mortal Realms or Grim Darkness of far Future.
In life the bad guys always wins. Because the good guys are to up their own ass to get the job done. The Seraphon prove this. They were not prepared to do what it takes to win and save the old world. so f them!
I do not play 40k, but it might happen in the future. I own a total of two 40k models, both T'au heroes, and the T'au Codex. But it turns out that I am far more busy with painting AoS stuff than I thought, so no 40k yet.
Oh yea, Tau I personally really like Tau, But I showed them to someone and they said they were poor mans star wars knock off's with manga feel. I like them. Would I collect Tau. Probably not because there are other armies I want to get first. I am old skool! if i get another 40k army it will either be Emperors children or Orks!
yea guard are expensive! Absolutely awesome models tho. I try to buy the box sets because they are cheapest way into Warhammer. If I had to build an army from individual unit boxes, I would not be playing warhammer at all. If GW released a decent guard box set I would probably collect them. I don't like cadians or cacthens. If mordian iron guard or Vostroyan firstborn had models I would be collecting them already.
I do (Tyranids, Necrons and Orks) but not 8th Edition. I didn’t bother playing 7th as it was just 6th with pointless extras and 8th I just don’t like because GW are just being so lazy with it. They did before GW ditched them in either 7th or 8th Edition because they were metal and GW couldn’t be bothered to make plastic ones. I imagine you can find them around EBay or somewhere.
I only got into 8th eddition because I love the primaris and death guard models. But when I started to look at the rules, I really liked the rules a lot! compared to the last time I played it (4th edition). I was not into Death Guard or Space Marines, but the new models were so good, I was into them. And as it is, I don't actually own 1 metal or resin model. And if possible I would like to keep it that way!
Yea that person was a renowned hater. I like Tau, I like the battle suits. I like that they are not Space Marines! Would love to see more box set's that were not space marines or storm cast. imagine a Seraphon vs Tzeench box set. That would be really nice. Or Tau Vs Imperial Guard.
Yeah i play 40K too. Space Marines ( never really loved them and GW is actually forcing me to hate them...) Deathwatch ( big used army for a very cheap price, but used only once. And another one but in a kill team tournament ) Grey Knights (love it) AdMech (LOVE it) Tau (LOVE it) Necrons (really recent purchase, i will play the first game wirh them today)
I mainly play 40k, been playing my Ultramarines for somewhere around ten years now. Also have some minor armies of Imperial Guard, Tau, Eldar and Tyranids. But my first ever army was Lizardmen back in 2004, never played fantasy then though. Got back to the lizards when the first generals handbok droped and I LOVE them. I must say I prefer AoS over 40k but only one of the active members of our club have an AoS army though, so I do not get to play very often.
I think I am about 40% 40k 60% AoS. I feel like the New Primaris and Death Guard models and most 40k stuff in general, is really realised and solid. The new sculpts are amazing and are what got me back into miniatures. I like fantasy settings better in general then Sci Fi but obviously AoS feels a bit flimsy compared to the old world or 40k. Storm Cast are the faction I am least sure about. Their lore seems weak, the models are really great, but I chose the wrong colour scheme for mine (Standard gold, really boring imo) and they are to in your face all the time.
