Do you think GW would let this slide in a GT?

I HATE the TG models. I think they are super lame, I hate them with the fury of 1000 suns.

So. I am toying with the idea of converting skinks into TG. I'm going to save all the cool extra bits I get from saurus and skink units to make them all decorated, adding bits from my bits box as well (12 years in the making should turn up some pretty cool stuff). Do you think GW would let me proxy them in a GT?

Also, I think it would be cool to field a kind of super skink army in which you decorate skinks make them tall (tall bases?) and proxy them as saurus. Thoughts?

I cant see why they shouldn't let u proxy them. But to be on the safe side i would send a mail to the organisers and check... just in case.

I for one love the idea ! Im expecting a test model soon

The only issue will be base size. As long as the skinks are on 25mm instead of 20mm bases it should be fine.

Cool beans. I am going to get another box of skinks this week and I'll start toying around making TG out of them. I only need 6 out of the 24 to be actual skinks in the army so I have a lot to mess with. I'll add pics when I think I have a good enough looking prototype.
