I recently sent this list in for an event. They rejected me saying the list was OTT. I would like your opinions please. Skink Priest EOTG lvl2 DS dragonfly of quick silver and the plaque of +1 spell Skink Priest EOTG lvl2 DS grubbs 16 skinks w/standard, muscian and 2 kroxigors 17 skinks w/standard, muscian and 2 kroxigors 15 skirmisher skinks w/blowpipes 10 cham skinks w/stalker 10 cham skinks w/stalker 4 terradons 3 salies w/xtra handlers 3 razordons w/xtra handlers This comes to a total of 2250.
How is this OTT, there are no saurus, everything is weak skinks....not even a lord level character!!!!!!!! Plus chameleon skinks aren't the greatest we have to offer....
What?! How is that OTT? I think they must have misread the cohort units as more skirmishers. All skirmisher could be argued to be unfair, but not when you have the soft cohort choices in there.
Over The Top. I can see why they did it, they glanced at it and saw skinks everywhere. But really an all skink list should not be considered OTT, they aren't that good, and the list certainly doesn't look overpowered... I say just submit it again and see what happens.
Yeah that is definately not OTT.. that is nothing too scary.. Your army is 90% leadership 6.. (don't know the leadership of sallies/terradons/razordons) and 90% no armor save.. I think they just have a pickle up their butt.
Check the guidelines of the tournament if there are any. 2 Priests with eotg might have put you OTT. A lot of tournaments that size will not allow you to have more than 6 power dice per magic phase and you have 8 there. Plus with the EotG abililties you might be seen as too powerful in magic phase. That's what I've seen from most tournaments so that's my assumption.
Normally two engines would be quite powerful, especially if there is also a Slann around, but in this list? There isn't really anything big and threatening besides the two engines so it makes the list overall not too powerful. Maybe the power dice limitation is the problem.. 6 PD would be tough for say a VC army though.
Tough for them... their strength lies primarily in their magic. In a tourney where say the rule was, "no more than two cav units per army", that would be hard on Bretonnians to the point where you wouldn't really consider taking them.
Yeah exactly. VC magic is a touch overpowered, especially if you really max out on it, but to be fair to them they definitely need it for the army to function competatively, and 6 power dice at 2250.... Well basically all their hero choices are wizards so right there is a problem of restricting their magic.
