Hi guys. I have a double match coming up and its against two empire armies. The reason of the setup is to se the difference between a team who gets along and a team who does not. Also the guys playing empire are going in a tournament together and want to try their lists out. I have been talking with the beastmen player and we decided that I would be responsible for magic and he would take care of closecombat and herokilling. We each field an army of 1750 points The list I have so far is Slann-mage Priest Focused Rumination The bacalming cogitation Cupped hands of the old ones Divine plaque of protection BSB Lore of Metal Skink priest lvl 2 Dispel scroll Saurus warriors 25 HW/S FC Skinks 22 Krox 2 Standard Musician Temple guard 21 FC Standard of dicipline Revered guardian with ironcurse icon Terradon Riders 3 Terradon Riders 3 Terradon Riders 3 All and all 1750 points. I kind of have to use lore of metal if I face a steam tank or worse, more than one! I could use death but its to risky with lizardmen if you get a misfire with the purple sun and the thing is invunarble to pit of shades for some reason. I have the skinkpriest to have at least a dispel scroll and be able to shoot searing doom through him if the steam tank is to far away from my slann. The three units of terradons is for warmachine hunting and hopefully soak some fire before the real units gets hammered. I know my partner will field some ambusher to get the warmachines and get rid of them since I believe we will be superior in closecombat if we just watch our flanks. I decided to skip the stegadon since one or two canonballs will kill him and I lose valuable points. Also the salamanders had to go because I will be looking to get into close combat and not shoot them dead. I will try to get hold of my partners list soon so we can compare. The two I am playing against are going to play in a tournament so they told me straight out: "Bring your worst"
Wonder how the beastman and Lizards ever got to an arrangement to battleo together... well this shows how annoying these empire's are
