    Hello Hello,

So I have a tournament coming up that is going to be played all doubles at 1250pts each. My wife is interested in starting to play Daemons. Obviously not the best combination due to alliance rules in the BRB. But anyway I'm going to do the best with what I am given. The pleasure of playing with the other half far outweighs the negatives.

The biggest problem I am facing is in the magic phase. What I have been planning is on taking 2 blocks of 30 Saurus with Hw/S, 2 salamanders and heaps of skinks both chameleon and jav/S skirmishers. I was looking at Scar vet with BSB in one block or beside to avoid combat and 1 skink priest lvl for using heavens spells and running with diadem to cover magic defense. But!!! I cannot dispel anything thrown at my wife's daemons.

I plan to use these Saurus as anvils and have my wife's bloodletters with heralds of khorne as the hammers (hatred ftw). Her sorcery with herald of tzeentch and master of sorcery is pretty cool and helps her control her magic well. We are thinking 4-5 flamers, 2 fiends of slaanesh and a troop of flesh hounds to go with her 2 units of 25 bloodletters.

My big problem. We can't buff each other and we are forced to split PD equally. What would you do about the magic phase? And i can't dispel stuff going against her units.

Any ideas? I figured we had shooting and CC and war machine/ character hunting well under control.

    All the best,
    Mitch
I would love to take a slann but 312.5pts allowed for lord choices is extremely limiting for a slann.

Take anything you can do boost PD use, power scroll springs to mind but I dont know if you'll be allowed as a lot of tournies dont like it. If you had a slann, Becalming cognition, to stop enemy casters getting stuff off and rumination to push your own, as for deamons, I know nothing about any items in the book you could give your wife to jump some casting power in

You choices though, seem good, and letting the bloodletters do the work is an idea, but remember frenzy means they have to charge if in range unless they pass a LD test, and even with a reroll, the dice gods can make them move! And also that they have to overrun, which could expose them to a flank or block your own guys in.

Should be pretty interesting to see the 2 armies synergize for this, hope you have a blast!

Under the new rules, frenzy just gives +1 attack and ItP. No leadership thing at all.

I thought if a unit with frenzy had a target within charge range you could pass a leadership test to restrain so as not to charge, so you're saying you always have to charge regardless with frenzy?

I dont have my BRB to hand, but I think I'll double check that because I'm pretty sure you can :p

I assume we are talking about bloodletters? Thing is they have hatred not frenzy? So ahhh it doesn't matter?

    Thanks for the help though.
