Hello! I would like to ask your opinion about this list, any comments are welcome. The list is for draft tournament, 2400 pts, many restrictions. Lords: Slann: Focus of mysery(life), becalming, crown of command, banner of swiftness, BSB This guy goes to the saurus block. 400 pts Heroes: Skink priest, lvl2, eotg stegadon, dawnstone 415 pts Core: Saurus warriors (36) fc 3x10 skink skirmisher 630 pts Special: 2x9 chameleon skink 1 baby stegadon 451 pts Rare: Ancient stegadon Salamander hunting pack (3) 500 pts Summ 2396 pts
you have only a big close combat unit: have another or drive a solo slann. Steggies are though in close combat, but they can't do everything without help
A solo slann is suicide in this format, the plan is to charge with the sauruses,and block some group, then charge from the sides with the stegs, while the chameleons take care of the warmachines,and the skinks the monsters.
it's a good plan, but what if your enemy has more close combat unit than yours? I have a different playing style, though, so if this list is ok for yours, it's ok
I like the march of the stegadons list, its fun. Only thing i dont like is the slann, seeing as 3/4ths of your army is already stubborn, and attaching him to your only combat block means he will be in melee, which is not where he wants to be. I would make him solo and give him ethereal and drop the banner. Just find a monster / block without magic weapons and he will be stubborn with rerollable coldblooded leadership and never take any damage in combat, just tying them up while the stegadons win their combats. He will be immune to all shooting that isnt magic (dwarf and daemon cannons), and if they do have magic shooting just put him withim 3 inches of the saurus block so he gets a 4+ LOS.
Here are the restrictions for better understanding: Jungle swarm, Skinks, Skinks skirmish 0-3 each. Salamanders are a 0-1 Scar-Veterans 0-2, Cogitations counts as +2DD Cupped hands of the Old Ones +2PD Scroll/Cube of darkness/1 or more slanns, max 2 in total. Death lore/bane head/feedback scroll/Cupped hands of the Old Ones, max 1 in total. Crown of Comand/Standard of Discipline/Focused Rumination/Higher State of Consciusness/1 or more slanns, max 2 in total. Skinks <20/Skink skirmirshers/Jungle swarms/Chameleon skinks/Terradons/Salamanders/Razordons/Slann, units are max 9 in total. Max +2 PD/DD per turn, including channeling. So i cant have a really good solo slann, my basic solo slann has ethereal,stubborn,and mr2 (loremaster,extra dice,and becalming the other 3). If i wanna make some fun with him,i give him fencers,and war banner to,i call him assault frog.
