7th Ed. dwarf cannon

    Ok so last night i was playing a tag team match with a capture the bridge scenario. me and a wood elf player vs a dwarf and a o and g players. our main problem was the cannon so how do you think we can get it out of the way quick. (it managed to take out my friends general my steg and numerous other guys.)

    pss we were playing a 1000 point match

    Wood Elves should have plenty of ways to do it... Eagles or warhawk riders, scouting archers close, their BS is so good even just a standard unit from long range should be able to stop the cannon in a turn or two. LM are not entirely without options either, charmeleon skinks and terradon riders are both great warmachine hunters.

    Not sure what your friends general was, but reember if he is in a unit (should be) then he gets look out sir so should basically never be killed by a cannon. Definitely the stegadon is a vulnerable target though, try to keep it out of LoS if you can with terrain until the cannon is dealt with. Its better to bring the steg up a turn later than to have it dead near the start.

    If you have an EOTG then give everyone around it a Ward Save from shooting.
    Even with a ward keep the Steg out of site until the steg is in combat or the cannon is dead.

    Chameleon Skinks were meant for this sort of thing, terradons too epecially since they can bounce from woods to woods until the moment is right.
