I just bought like 150 skinks and saurusses and I need to paint them fast :) Therefore i was looking for a very easy way to make a decent painted lizard army!
So i was thinking if some had a easy "recipe" to make decent lizard skin. I was thinking about light blue, and it so happend that I have the lothern blue and i actually think it looks ok.. But it would be very nice if i could the same wash for the skin as well as for the scales even though i would like them to have a different kind of blue. So i would very much appreciate a nice recipe on how you made your lizard skin and if you want to make me very happy a picture especially of a saurus 5th edition since i got 60 of them :D

I tried to find a similar topic, but I couln't find one who satisfied me, if you know about one please link it here :)

Well then again I really don't like the dipping, they get too shiny i think :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zUOq24cPGI actually i was thinking about something like this! I think they look great and there isn't that many colours on the models! Helps speeding up the painting!

Army painter has a spray that takes the gloss off of a dip. makes it nice and grainy.

Okay, let me reformulate. Does anyone have pictures of lizardmen painted in lothern blue (ice blue)? What washes will you use? And is it possible to get a decent table top standard with only lothern blue with wash? If no, what highlight colour will you use? :)

As written before I am new to painting lizardmen and in generally actually :)

well, my Cold Ones are an ice blue if you want to take a look at them ;) In my blog:

    http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/the-hosts-of-cuexotl-the-ruby-city.10427/

you can also see a bit of how they were painted from the base colors up in the original thread:

    http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/converted-cold-ones-painting-blogg-updated-august-22nd.4174/

only thing on the original thread is it doesn't show the final highlight with white, they will look a little more bright :) And as for tabletop quality, the color looks really good mixed with greens and reds and looks great in general :) I'm happy with the outcome!
