GW has released the second End Times book titled Glottkin. Unified Chaos armies this time around. Lists can be pulled from Warriors, Deamons and Beastmen. Only $66 US for the two book set this time around, though the books are smaller. I know what I'll be spending my LFG in store credit on next month. Edit: for got the link http://www.games-workshop.com/en-US...W_2014_10_24_ENG_Glottkin&_requestid=10363669
Interesting. Looks like the next book is WoC, DoC, and Beastmen. I'm glad Beastmen are getting some love. My main questions are: 1) what is going to happen in the new book? (looking forward to seeing how the plot progresses) 2) what is the next book going to combine? Elves? Humans? 3) Finally, the most important question: What is going to happen to the lizards? They are the only faction I really care about. Hopes for the next book: lizards everywhere. The lizards march out of lustria, and completely stomp everyone on their way to close the polar rifts. The elves all lay themselves prostrate before Mazdamundi, the demon princes all run back to the warp, and the skaven accidentally tunnel into a rat trap factory. I think this sounds reasonable.
WHITE DWARF SPOILERS STORY SPOILERS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO CARE: Well Altdorf is pretty much doomed from what I can understand. Karl Franz lives and have been given new rules, such as ressurection if he dies. Everything in the book appears to happen simultaniously as the Nagash book so the story won't actually move forward. There's also something about 3 cities and 3 heroes getting destroyed. Oh and Vlad is apparently first killed by Glottkin and after he's ressurected by his ring he's killed yet again by a blightking champion. All of this is from a poster on warseer who got his hands on the new White Dwarf (which have a batrep with the following in it). From what I can understand the next book is supposed to be End Times: Khaine so elfs I guess. But those rumours *could* be wrong. Nobody know about the lizzies. We're apparently running from the jungle, but to where?
*End Times spoilers* From what i understand re: Lizards, the jungle burns, the Slann want Exodus, and the Skaven, now unified, are amounting a gigantic incursion into Lustria co-current with their invasion of Tilea and Estalia. Offer your prayers to Sotek now! Re: Elves, apparently the Pheonix King is dead, and Malekith has assassinated Morathi (possibly) and turned his attention away from Ulthuan (which is currently in civil war) to protect Naggaroth from a Khornate invasion, whilst the Everqueen has gone to help out the Wood Elves. So Elves union is looking very likely - I'm guessing either Malekith or Tyrion will unite them by taking up Khaine's sword? re: Empire. There's a last alliance of Men (Bretonnia + The Empire, plus refugees from Tilea, Estalia and the Border Princes - so a Human union also looking likely?) and Vampires against the Chaos invasion headed by Nurgle worshippers. Yes ad yes. If I get a Mazdamundi model from that I'm done, the only thing I'll pine for after is a Coatl...
Hmm, seems this one was popular in Europe. The normal version is already sold out. Guess Ill wait until they print up more, as I don't see the worth of getting the limited edition one.
Wishful deduction warning - The grand plan of the old ones is through -- leaving room for new ways --- Sotek is a new way ---- skaven all over lustria ----- sotek eats skaven ------ Sotek is a serpent ------ Coatl's are serpents ------- lizardmen players have wished for a coatl for ages -------- we get a Coatl centerpiece model as an indication of the end of the old ones and the dawn of Sotek. GW! WE WANT BIG SNAKE EAT RAT NAAAUW!
Ooo coatl Have the Lizardmen ever had a Quango piece? I mean, if an infantile Quango can do that much damage, then surely an adult's power is even greater... O_O!!
Nope. They're supposed to have dissapeared from the world along with the Old Ones. In the previous edition's fluff there was only one single egg in the vaults of Hexoatl, said to hatch when the Old Ones return. Apparently now they're common enough to be an army item. Although, in the 5th edition, one of Mazdamundi's items was the "Egg of the Quango", which, when hatched, bolstered his attacks and then died within seconds of old age. I guess that's what the new rules are harking back to! Still, I feel like the End Times is appropriate to bring an adult variants into the mix might be an issue with my regular opponents though - I'm still trying to win them over to the idea of a Dread Saurian!
waaaaaaaaaaaaaait.... The Egg's 4-6 result rea...oh..just a sec wishful deduction warning there.. The Egg's 4-6 result reads: "it flies of" TikTaq'to 's blade is made from the bone of an "ancient extinct air-borne predator" or something along those lines. are these hints? ...what if ....the dice rolled a 4+ in the actual Warhammer story, and the Quango took flight to live?
Phatmotha, I think you are absolutely right! In fact, i had been meaning to write and post some fluff explaining how there are so many quango eggs. It revolved around the first egg giving birth to a fully-formed adult quango, who then proceeded to fly to Itza/one of the other temple-cities and lay a clutch of eggs, in order to aid the lizardmen in their battles against the enemies of lustria. This could also afford us a quango model, though!...only thing is, they have never said what a quango looks like...
Maybe a Quango/Coatl/Somethingelse multi kit like the maggot lords? Each mount/monster similar but slightly different to the last. That could be fun!
