8th Ed. EoTG and Priests armor save

    Hi guys, I've seen people post that they give their priest a dawn stone to reroll his 2+ armour save when mounted on the EoTG but I cant find the rule which says the priest gets to use the stegs save. I get that he gets +1 for being mounted but cant find the rule where the priest gets the 3+.

    Any page reference would be mightly helpful, thanks guys!!

    Page 55 of the army book, right hand column, 4th para provides the info on armour save for regular and ancient steg (EoTG is obviously the latter).

    The EotG is an Ancient Steggie so the skink gets a 2+ armour save.

    Stegadon gets 4+ armour save, its crew get 3+ AS; Ancient Steggie gets 3+ AS, its crew 2+.

    Putting a dawnstone on the preist is a good thing too. Rerolling the 2+ for the win.

    That is what the 5+ ward is for.....Hopefully you can get it up before he gets hit.

    Yup dawnstone, and tricksers shard is the ultimate ofensive steg. Or Amulet of Itzl and the tricksters shard:D
