Hello, As many tournaments here are on the Stupid ETChammer, there are many new ideas that come into my mind. And since now there is a Team game in a short while. I've decided to Try this: 1 Slann Mage-Priest General; 2 Discipline; Magic Level 4; Battle Standard # Focus of Mystery # Focused Rumination Cube of Darkness Divine Plaque of Protection 1 Skink Priest @ 405.0 Pts Magic Level 1; Lore of Heaven Dispel Scroll Dawnstone 1 Ancient Stegadon with Engine of the Gods 4 Skink Crew Javelin 1 Saurus Scar-Veteran Great Weapon Armour of Fortune Dragonbane Gem Venom of Firefly Frog 1 Cold One 22 Saurus Warriors Shield; Standard; Musician 1 Champion 10 Skink Skirmishers Blowpipe 10 Skink Skirmishers Blowpipe 10 Skink Skirmishers Blowpipe 10 Skinks Javelin; Shield; Musician 10 Skinks Javelin; Shield; Musician 1 Ancient Stegadon 2 Giant Blow Pipes 5 Skink Crew Javelin 1 Ancient Stegadon 2 Giant Blow Pipes 5 Skink Crew Javelin 1 Stegadon Giant Bow 5 Skink Crew Javelin The point of this army is that Lore of Death and Shadow spells are limited to 4 PD max. And there is huge limit on the Warmachine count. Besides in Team games I will be paried againts armies like Skaven or VC. I was thinking of using Lore of Fire, but this lore is a little too situational What Do you think?
First, in ETC, you have a maximum of 2 DD. With Focus rumination counting as 2 DD, a cube of darkness 1DD and a Dispell Scroll 1DD, you've too much of them. The limit on warmachines is 4, which permit to have a nice anti monster force. And you've go nothing to deal with them. Against an army full of warmachine, I do think you'll lose one stegadon each turn or couple of turn. Which means you'll lose one or 2 stegadon before getting into close.
Dude, Rumination dosen't consume your DD limit. Cogitations Does. Rumination adds only 2 PD. Don't forget that there is Stupid Line of sight not Tlos...
Oh yeah, I made a confusion between those 2 (french book, french name! it's *french accent* Aphorisme apaisant and Concentration métaphysique *french accent* ) What does TloS stands for ?
True line of sight. In other words, put your eye at the same level as your model, if you can see the target, so can your model.
Okay, that's was I would have guessed As far as I'm concerned, I do think TLoS sucks, and like the ETC los. TLoS are easy to mess up and spend 20 minutes to tell if you do see or not the enemy... What I dont understand is your point about it : are you talking about not getting shot by warmachines by using vision ? 'cause when you take a look at ETC maps, there are not a lot of building, hills and impassable terrain in the middle of the map AND there are a lot of hills in deployment zone. And your unit does not block LoS.
looks like a fun this to play! Any opponent that hasn't brought 4 cannons or a dragon is going to be wetting themselves as you progressively plonk one monster after the next on the table haha. I would try and get some chamo skinks in there though, a unit of 5 can take care of one war machine which would help a lot.
Well, 4 warmachines but Empire has Cannons 0-3 and Stank is a Cannon too. Besides, in ETC you get to be picked to the right opponent and not to make an allrounder list
