Seeing how Chakax the Special Character is awful I figured I would try to do something similar. Going to use a Chakax model and tweak it so It's using a Hand Weapon and Shield and use him as a Scar Veteran in my Slann Unit.

I'm looking for concepts on item combinations which would make him a good Challenger or Improve the Overall power of the Slann's Unit.

My main enemies will be Dark Elves and Tzeentch Chaos Warriors. Having a good Challenge Fighter is ideal because Chaos Models MUST accept challenges if they are able.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Build Concepts - (Preferably Scar-Vets but Oldbloods Accepted):

    Eternity Warden Build I - Scar-Veteran
Sword of Swift Slaying- Always Strike First - 25 Points
Glittering Scales - Light Armor. Enemies get -1 Penalty to hit - 25 Points
    Mundane Shield - +3 Points

Concept - Challenger - Always Strike First, 3+ Armor Save with Glittering Scales -1 Penalty.

Eternity Warden Build II - Scar-Veteran
Shield of the Mirrored Pool - Chance to Deflect Magic Missles cast at the Unit or Bearer back at Caster - 30 Points
Gold Sigil Sword - Initiate 10 Attacks - 10 Points
    Seed of Rebirth - Regeneration (6+) - 10 Points
Mundane Light Armor - +5 Points

Concept - Passive Defense - Shield of Mirrored Pool adding another layer of Protection my Temple Guard, Gold Sigil Sword for Cheap Fast Attacks, 3+ Armor Save, Regeneration (6+)

Not sure how good the Mirrored Pool Shield actually will be in action vs Dark Elves and Tzeentch Warriors.

Eternity Warden Build III - Scar-Veteran
Piranha Blade - Unsaved Wound is multiplied into Two Wounds - 35 Points
    Enchanted Shield - 5+ Armor Save - 15 Points
Mundane Light Armor - 5 Points

Concept - Challenger Hero Slayer - 2+ Armor Save, and Piranha Blade for 2 wounds a hit.

Eternity Warden Build IV - Scar-Veteran

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prime Guardian Build I - Oldblood
Sword of the Hornet - Always Strikes First - 25 Points
Glittering Scales - All close combat attacks suffer -1 to Hit bearer - 25 Points
Aura of Quetzl - All close combat attacks suffer -1 to Hit bearer - 40 Points
Ironcurse Icon - Character and Unit Gain +6 Ward Save vs War Machine Weapons - 5 Points
    Shield - +6 Points

Concept - Superior Challenger - Always Strike First, 2+ Armor Save, -2 to be Hit in Close Combat, and gives Iron Curse charm to entire unit.

Prime Guardian Build II - Oldblood (Arli's Suggestion)
Sword of the Hornet - Always Strikes First - 25 Points
Glittering Scales - All close combat attacks suffer -1 to Hit bearer - 25 Points
Aura of Quetzl - All close combat attacks suffer -1 to Hit bearer - 40 Points
Potion of Speed- +3 Initiative until end of turn, at the start of any player's turn - 5 Points
    Shield - +6 Points

Concept - Same as Above but replaces Ironcurse Icon with Potion of Speed, to give him an Initiative of 7 for Re-Rolling Misses in first round of combat.

Prime Guardian Build III - Oldblood

Anyone else feel free to contribute, I will Edit my post with your Suggestions. =P

    Thanks all.

On the Prime Guardian build, I would add a potion of speed to that. That way, he gets to reroll misses in the first round of combat.

Ah I like that. I would have overlooked that part of the Always Strikes First with Lizardmen as we don't get the best initiative. I will add it, Thanks Arli.

I've been just thinking about these Concepts for the past few days before I start painting and kitbashing my Chakax model.

I like Eternity 1 and Prime 2. Prime 2 is probably the best, and most flavorful.

In terms of actually fitting an oldblood and a Slann into your army, you may not see him on the field for quite some time though.

Maybe start with Eternity 1, and then evolve him into Prime 2? You could be playing a young Chakax, and document his ascendancy to legend?

Hah yes Dog, Eternity Warden is DIGIVOLVING INTO Prime Guardian!!

The Primes are just for concepts. Ideally I would run an Eternity (Scar Vet) when I hit 3000 Points with my Maxed out Slann. My friends and I have enough models they are just slow at putting them together.

Having A Prime Guardian and my Maxed Slann would be 3500 Point army... which I'm not even close to ready for yet. I just doing this for fun and concepts for when I paint and kitbash my Chakax.

As for Eternity 1 and Prime 2 they would be good as a Character Evolution, as they are using basically the same gear but at different power levels. They are both looking very effective.

For the Sword of the Hornet I may have to steal a sleek Dark Elf blade from my friend's girlfriends Elves. Buwhaha...

I've pretty much settled on Eternity Warden 1/Prime Guardian 2. Special thanks to Arli for suggesting the Potion of Speed.

Now to write up piles of FLUFF.

    Hello,
I just wanted to add that If you will fight a lot of Woch and DE than I would make a Burning Blade and The other trikstersh shard build. 1) Dark eld Pendant warriors have a 1+ save and a huge ward. Same goes for Woch. and by havinf Burning blade you make thier 1+ save into 5+. Saurus are tough T5 and a nice have (1+ on foot if you are an Oldblood) should help you life to strike back....
