So, is it still the case as in days of old that a character who caused fear granted the immunity to fear to his unit? I cant seem to find anything one way or the other in the 8th ed LRB.

It looks like characters do not give fear immunity to their unit in 8th. Look at the last paragraph of the fear rules (pg 69). It says that Fear-causing models do not suffer if their unit fails the Fear test. If the unit had to take a Fear test, they must not be immune to Fear. Also, the Character rules on pg 100 say that Character special rules don't apply to the unit unless specifically stated.

It also specifies that only units in base contact with a Fear-causer have to take a test. Does this mean that a Skrox unit won't cause Fear since the Krox won't be in base contact?

Does this mean also that characters in fear/terror causing units are not immune to fear/terror themselves.

More so, if a Champion in the Temple Gaurd unit receives a 10pt fear causing sword does his unit as a whole cause fear? Do they gain fear immunity?

Thats in the LM FAQ, opponents facing skrox units still have to take a fear check. I think the whole unit is also still immune to fear.

Not sure if it is the same with other mixed units, don't think so anymore.
