ah well it was a game to get us caught up with the new edition.
    apologies it's not to scale

    okay for the legend,

the orange circle is the forest my friend placed.
the straight blue line is the river I placed, top right blue is the river my friend placed.

    game s was 750 points
my army is on the bottom, left to right:
2 light grey skink skirmishers, orange box 2 salamanders, white square my skink priest, dark grey square is saurus, light grey square in top river are my 7 chameleons.

goblins are from left to right bright green are archers, red square are spider riders yellow squares are bolt throwers pink square is squig hoppers and big green blocks are spearmen.
the spear gobbos have a shaman and a boss, also hidden night fanatics.

okay first off the river I placed was sort of cheap, but hey he places a forest right in line for his spider riders lol it didn't come up but once anyways

okay opening moves moved my chamos and set off his fanatics who almost killed one chamo and then fell into the river.
all my amphibious forces dove into the swamp.
her eis how the game ended in about 2 turns.

I whiped out the right most bolt thrower, causeing a panic test in the right most spearmen they fled off the table.

then my skink skirmishers whiped out the squig hoppers which caused both the spdierriders and the other speamen to flee....the spider riders fled into the archers which inevitablly fled into the final bolt thrower....and GG lol

the river came up once because of the bolt thrower shooting my skinks.

Even the crudest sketch helps immensely in imagining what the setup is. That just the way things roll sometimes and what happened when you set up near the table edge. Don't feel too bad just play another game to rinse the thoughts away.

well I both feel bad and good I feel bad for the swift victory but then again I feel good because I knew this was one of the major flaws of his plan for a night goblin army and I wanted to get that major issue out in the open for him.

actually if anyone else is reading this I know this is lizardmen but any advice I can give him to help mitigate the cascading panic issue?

Common gobbo warboss in a unit with the standard of dicipline is the highest LD (9) all goblin armies can get. But that is usually not worthwhile, just tell him to have a common gobbo boss, even one point of LD can make a difference.

And a BSB for sure. The reroll is probably worth 2-3 points of leadership from a theorycraft prospective.

No, unfortunately, you cannot. I would love to field the skink chief with skavenpelt banner in my horde skrox unit. I just cannot give up my slann bsb with banner of discipline.
