8th Ed. First 2000pt list, New and need advice.

    Hello everyone, how are you? This is my first post here and super excited i found this place! So here is the back story to this madness. I was a huge 40k player and decided i wanted to try something new. I Honestly picked the one booked that looked cool, and boy did i fall in love. So i decided to pick up the battalion box and go from there. Well after that i really enjoyed WHFB and also the Lizardmen, so much that i bought the one click collection, the one out of White Dwarf.
    So i have about 5k in Lizardmen and just experimenting with models i think look great. So here is my first list

    So after looking into some different builds i was thinking of dropping some things to get a scar vet in.
    I would drop the jungle swarms, lvl 1 skink priest, and focus of mystery. I think that would give me enough for a Vet on a Cold one. Any suggestions would be great and maybe some input on how you build your vets. Also i do have allot of models so let me know what i could add or take out.

    Characters look fine, though as you said, a scar-vet on cold one is very tempting as they are pretty useful!

    Core looks a little light, and i'm not sure on why you'd take units of 12 particularly? Probably bump that up to 3 units of 10, and take 1-2 units with javs rather than blowpipe.

    Special, TG definitely need to be a bigger unit, 20+ imo. Haven't really tried swarms or the bastiladon yet myself.

    Rare looks good too; not 100% on taking the engine at 2000pts. I'd definitely consider sharpened horns if you expect to face any multi-wound models.

    Well I should drop the engine, but keep the stegadon! Put on sharpened horns and it will do perfect!
    Give your bastiladon a solar engine and drop the jungleswarms..

    I also should drop a skink priest! drop de lv 1 i guess..

    When you do this you can take at least 20 templeguard! maybe some extra skinks for the rest of the left points!

    Also switch the blowpipes to javelin and shield (March and shoot, without modifiers for moving)
