    3 Salamander
    Extra Handler

    Should come to about 4001pts

Unsure about the Salamanders they've done well in the past but is 9 overkill? Not been inpressed with Stegadon or Razordon if honest, But willing to ive another go instead of some salamanders.

I dont want my friend to win, He has a tendency to brag for weeks..

    Thank you in advance!

I'm afraid you can only have 3 units of a specific Rare creature i.e. 3 Salamanders max.

However, you could just have them as 3 units of 3, that would work.

I don't have the rulebook with me at the moment but I'm pretty sure that in 4000 pts battles, rare choice become 0-4.

I love the ancient stegadon, it's really tough and I can deal some punishment as well. But if you aren't planning on bringing a carno and another steg, I don't think 1 stegadon will do much at such a high pts battle because he'll probably get shot to bits. I definitely think that 9 salamanders is overkill, but if you don't want your opponent to win...

Not used a carno before, usually slann takes up all lord points. I might give it a try. I was thinking dropping 5 sala's and maybe a squad of chameleon skinks to make way for 2 stega's then. Seems everyone rates them except me, Myabe I just had a couple of bad games with them!

    Cheers for advice!

Stegs are awesome, especially against low T opponents like elves, if against 20 spearman, on the charge the steg can probably take out close to half the unit, taking into account impact hits, skinks, steg and thunderstomp attacks. plus as mentioned they will be bullet/arrow magnets, but everytime your opponent shoots them, your big saurus units go unharmed, well worth their points IMO.

And yes, 9 sallys probably is overkill, but if you can why wouldn't you take 9 template weapons that will wound on a 4+ and do -3 to an elfs armour save, i.e. they won't have a save?
