Hello! I'm just preparing myself to start playing Aos 2.0 and i just fell in love with seraphons, but my main question is. Which models should i buy first for creating a competitive 1000pts list that can be updated to 2000pts in the future? Thank you. EDIT: Which are the 3 or 4 most played lists and the way each one must to be played? (Any post with this?)
Depends on what sort of list you want to play. Seraphon are an extremely flexible army, and almost all of our options can be competitive, so it's hard to give advice on what to buy, without knowing what you're most interested in playing. I'd say buy whatever model(s) you're most interested in first. The only thing I can say for sure is that you'll want a Slann (Or kroak) at 2k.
As stated above - pretty much go and pick up any model you like the look of (it will work) I also agree on the slaan (he’s a must) But the best place to start from scratch is probably the start collecting box (see @Crowsfoot ’how to get the most out of get started) Do that and you will have a 2k army nearly lol Included + created with a little kit bashing; -saurus on carnosaur -unit of knights -unit of saurus -troglodon -astrolith bearer -skink priest -saurus hero on foot -saurus hero on cold one Not bad for a reasonable price
In that case, which are the 3 or 4 most played options? Is there any topic with the formations and how to play them? It would be very helpfull to make the decision. I will update the main post with this. Wow! Really nice, thanks.
We have lots of play options now; -Horde -Monster mash -Summoning -magic dominance (Kroaknado style) -Alpha striking and ambush -Mixed bag of the above Basically you can play however you wanna play
If you aint limited to Games Workshop miniatures, i recommend you take a look at these https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1115856510/lost-kingdom-miniatures-cuetzpal-empire# Even if you buy your GW starter and so, you can get some cool looking miniatures there.
