Hey this is my firstt ever army for lizardmen enjoy! Lords: Old blood Additional hand weapon, shield, upgraded cold one (no stupidity rule) and scimitar of the sun (+2 attacks). Total 199 points. Heroes: Scar veteran shield, additional hand weapon, light armour, cold one, scimitar of son (+2 attacks). Total 167 points. Skink priest Leval 2 Total 65 points Core 18 Suarus warriors, spears, full command. Total 246 points. 18 suarus warriors, spears, full command Total 246 points 12 skink skirmishers Javilins, shields, skink skirmisher brave. Total 112 points Special: 5 Cold one calvelry Full command Total 225 points 10 temple guard Full command, 1 biting blade Total 1500 point exactly The plan. The main plan for this army is to have the skink skirmishers advance infront of the suarus warriors one of which icludes the scar vetaran the other which has the old blood in. The cold one calvery take the flank and the temple guard anvance in between the two suarus units. The only problem I have left is whether to position the skink priest in the skirmisher or go it alone it really depend on what spells i get of the chart (in 8th edition) but the protection of the horde of skinks would be great and would save it from being targeted by those nasty stone throwers. It would be extremely gratfull if you could give some tips or any ajustments to thee list to enhance its performance. Esspecially where the priest should go. Cheers Calum
The main change you need to make is the magic weapon, the main rule book states all magic items are unique (unless they say otherwise) so both your Old-blood and Scar-vet can not carry the same item. I personally only field skinks with blowpipes, in 8th they can march and shoot, if that gets them into close range double shoot and look for 6's
using skinks as buffers for saurus is one of the best things skinks do! heres advice that has worked for me in the past: i use saurus heroes separately from saurus warriors (then again i was using gor-rok) and he would tie up units while my saurus navigated to their flanks. This may only work for gor-rok due to his survivability, but hey, i haven't lost since i started using the tactic oh, and welcome to Lustria
