    Dear Friends,

I´ve played my first battle with the new lizzies, was a 2k point game, agains Demons of Chaos... I´ve used a solid simple list as follows:

    1 Slaan, all upgraded
1 Skink Priest 2nd Level w/ Rod of the Storms
    1 Skink Pirest 1th Level
2 Saurus units (20), all full comand, one with spears
    2 skinks skirmishers (10) w/ blowpipes
    2 skinks skirmishers (10) w/ javs + shield
    1 Cold one Unit (6), w/ musician
    3 Salamanders Hunting Pack

(Sorry I dont remember the names of somenthings)

First, I chosed the Lore of Light, and agains demons worked really well... My deploy was entire in the left side of the board, while the opponent deployed in the middle and his right side... He started...

The Slaan - He is awesome now, very versitile, about 100 points less than the other... At long range he didnt make much, but at short rage he shines!!! Those two attacks spell (1 and 6) maded a great break in the opponent, with the skinks priest I got the 1d3 re-rolls, which I used to re-rolll the ones on the dices os level 6 lore of light, worked really good, I use a lot too that one that gives the opponent WS 1, really stopped his Greater Demon... And that magic that leaves the units around immune to psicology and automatic rally gave me a support that I could imagine...

Skinks Priests - Those maded great too, with the 2nd level I got Heaven 4 and 5, it was thunder, thunder and thunder... and the 1th level priest i got that re-roll d3 dices. Since the enemy prefere to leave the skinks priests behind, they stood walking close to my other units giving some interest supports.

Saurus Warriors - Hard, and now at fair points... about 100 less... They are scaly +5, and a solid block unit, one unit attacks and the unit w/ spears defends... worked really well, they, combine with the immune to psycology magic... hold ground really nice, and with the slaan around using Light lv6... was fantastic!!!

Skinks - The same brilliance on the table, they points costs didn´t make to much diference... those litle fellows stills now how to fight, get table quarters, get flanks bonus and piss off the opponent..

Cold Ones - Beside his still high points, but with -1sv (saurus are scaly+5) That was my kamikaze unit, holded the Greater Demon with 3 Fields of Slannesh... obviously they die, but holded the demons...

Sallies - This I could not talk a lot, cause I got 6 chances do fire with them, but my luck was so bad that i misfire 5 times !!!! but the one shoot against a daemonetes unit, get the nicely... And again they holded the ground agains a daemonetes CC unit... killing them!!!! (this was very impressive), and took some khorne out of the way....

Well, sorry for my bad english...

In a General way I tried to test the real "core" of the nwe army book and they are harder! Obviously this could not be the best strategy, but maybe for a tournament is a solid and versitile list..

Well I win the battle with a massacre result!!!!!

How is going yours experiences with the new armybook???

    Cheers!
    Marcos

A massacre against demons sounds pretty awesome, the WD bat rep was appallingly unfair to demons so its nice to see a more fair bout. At my local gw we did i similar report (same points no regenerating units and character only has to touch it (not hold it) to win). However the lizzies got smashed on one flank and the main army didnt get half way across the board (mainly due to terrible set up).

well done and well done lizzies!

well what I´ve learn the most in all my battles, is that a bad deploy makes you lose the game, no matter how good your army sounds...

As I said above, with Lizzies I´ve learned that we have a solid army, not units, therefore all my last deploys was chose a side of the table and deploys everything in there, this idea is based on the own movimentation rules, despiste the mov values of the units, in general you get all of your army fighting with 1/2 or 1/3 of the enemy from the 1th to 3rd turn

With the new lizzies my next tatics it will be in a Slaan with full lore of light, then i get the wargear that gives an extra magic, and with this try to get the Lore of Fire 2d6 S4 hits... in case I do not get it, I´ll chose the Fireball... with this I´ll have 2 ofensive magic, 3 area/tatics/damage magic and 2 psicology magics.... And still I´ll try the Tettoke hero... I think he will boost the magic turn and make some good surprises with that 1d3 re-deploy units...

My next step is to get 15 Temple Guards, Chakax and a Slann w/ Terror... And in the first turn put all of my army in the center of the table around this units... And again get an area/damage magic to Slaan...

    What lists are you trying?!?!

Our Game Club here in Brazil is gonna make the first 2009 Tournament on Feb 28, and I´m trying to play test everything to make a solid list to this tournament...

    Cheers
