Hello ladies and gentlemen! My first post on the fine lizardmen forums. I'm fairly new to the race (and indeed to Warhammer altogether), playing a few games at the end of the age of the last lizardmen army book. I've had a few more with the new book (still tempted to call it a codex... thats my old 40,000 experience there), and I tend to play small-army games with a local playgroup that includes High Elves, Brettonians, Warriors of Chaos and Vampire Counts, and until we get ourselves some larger armies, we're looking at doing 1000 point games. So, yeah, here's a list I hope to try out a few times this weekend. ----- LORDS: Saurus Oldblood Cold One Sacred Stegadon Helm Great Weapon Luckstone ----- HEROES: Tetto'Eko, Astromancer of the Constellations ----- CORE: 24 Saurus Warriors Standard & Musician 12 Skink Cohort ----- SPECIAL: 5 Cold One Cavalry Standard & Musician ----- RARE: 1 Salamander ----- I really like ol' Tet, and I like the idea of having a hard-as-nails Saurus Hero in a small game where there aren't many things that can take him out quickly. It seems like this list could make good use of the Lore of Heavens with Harmonic Convergence making the Cold Ones' 2+ saves rerollable. What do you think? Anything I should really be putting in, or taking out, considering my meta? Oh, and, hello! Nice to meet you all
Looks like a fun list but if i where you i should unmount the oldblood and make a block of 29 saurus.. put your saurus in the unit and you have a good unit in horde formation! Give him alsk light armour for a 2+ save.. Skip the cold ones, maybe for terradons or rippers? Isn't tetto eko to much for a 1000 points list? 2 priest for same points, one beasts and one heavens lv 1 dispell scroll work better i think
